No, it’s a matter of personal taste. The rule to a necklace is..it should be above or below the neckline of your shirt..not even with it.
A necklace is fine to wear with anything. As long as the print your wearing isnt to busy. Also….stay away from chunky or busy necklaces because it can make look sort of tacky.
i never wear necklaces. i think it’s just a personal style thing. i see woman with v-neck tops and necklaces all the time and i think they look perfectly fine. it’s just not my style. and actually, i’ve heard some people say that wearing a necklace is **** because it draws attention to your chest. so just keep doing what you like
First of all, do NOT get fashion advice from Stacey London. She is a 40 something year old who thinks she is the hottest thing in the world, but she just looks like any other person in Hollywood. I watched her show last night and I really wanted to throw up afterwards. The whole show is her telling women how to dress and that their clothing and style wasn’t ‘sexy enough’ or ‘good enough’. She needs to shut the heck up and realize that not everybody wants to look the same and some people dress differently. Other people don’t really have a choice because maybe they aren’t rich enough to spend $4,000 dollars on a pair of shoes. Secondly, there is not really a rule for necklaces. Just wear whatever you want.
The general rule is ” if the necklace and neckline clash don’t wear it”. Basically meaning that the necklace should either be longer or shorter, not about the same length, because than the two pieces are competing for attention.
1] wear a necklace that doesn’t fall into your cleavage [ should be above or below neckline, as stated above ]
2] don’t wear a necklace with a gown if hair is up – wear drop earrings instead
3] don’t wear a necklace AND a pin [ brooch ]
4] otherwise, just wear something that goes with your top and your earrings
PS: hurray! someone else who thinks Stacy is NOT hot
